My Vow To Be A U.S. Constitutional Sheriff

 

 

Hi, I'm Scott Aughney, candidate for Jackson County Sheriff in Jackson County, Michigan. In this video, I talk about the US Constitution and my pledge to be a constitutional Sheriff.

The U.S. Constitution is unique in terms of history, liberties afforded to the individual through the “Bill of Rights”, and impact on other nations’ own constitutions across the globe.  As such, upon election and sworn oath as Jackson County Sheriff, I make the following pledges to the Jackson County Public at large:

 

  • I, Scott Aughney, as duly sworn Sheriff of Jackson County, Michigan, will uphold and defend all provisions of the U.S. Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, for the individual and Jackson County Public at large.
     
  • I, Scott Aughney, as duly sworn Sheriff of Jackson County, Michigan, will embrace participation in any Constitutional Sheriff Organizations and actively promote preservation of the U.S. Constitution in Jackson County.
     
  • I, Scott Aughney, as duly sworn Sheriff of Jackson County, Michigan, will personally or recruit instructors to teach in basic U.S. Constitutional law and its guaranteed liberties afforded the public.  This program will be implemented to all personnel within employment at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.
     
  • I, Scott Aughney, as duly sworn Sheriff of Jackson County, Michigan, will personally, or by recruit instructors, conduct public forums in basic U.S. Constitutional law and its guaranteed liberties afforded the public.  

 

It is imperative that all Jackson County Law Enforcement Agencies uphold and defend the provisions of the U.S. Constitution and as Sheriff, I will duly lead the effort.
